Soft Gingerbread

Who doesn't love that moist, spicy cake called, Gingerbread? Add a dollop of fresh whipped cream or top with Microwave Lemon Curd or Tangerine Curd and you have a delightfully refreshing snack. Serve for dessert or, my favorite . . . breakfast with a yummy cuppa tea, coffee or ice cold milk!

I don't know what happened to the previous blog post I wrote, but I spoke about all the excitement of preparing a cozy bedroom complete with a fresh picked bouquet of sweet peas, a welcome basket full of Homemade Granola Bars, chocolates, fresh fruits, and an iced down cooler with fresh squeezed orange juice, Baked Rice Pudding and bottled water.

Harvesting Garden Seeds

Being able to save your own garden seeds year after year has many advantages. You save lots of money. You are not dependent on retailers for your seeds. You're getting pure seeds and not ones genetically engineered or covered in poisons and you can trade seeds with others. Make sure the seed packet has "heirloom" printed on the front. Hybrid seeds will not work!

Baby Steps . . . No-Knead Cottage Cheese Rolls

My present lifestyle has been evolving through most of my lifetime. I remember back in 5th grade having to give an oral presentation. My little 4x5 cards had my speech and the recipe for "Soft Molasses Cookies". I brought in a plate of cookies for the class to sample. Another girl brought in a bowl of cold oatmeal and shared on how to make oatmeal. I remember feeling so sorry for her!
